Course | Moodle 4.1 Working with Groups | ||||||
Description | Groups in Moodle offer several advantages, including facilitating collaborative learning by enabling students to work together on assignments and activities within a course. They allow instructors to differentiate instruction by assigning specific tasks or resources to different groups based on their needs or abilities. Groups also streamline communication, making it easier for instructors to provide targeted feedback and support to smaller subsets of students. Additionally, they can enhance engagement and participation by creating a sense of community within the course environment. In this workshop, we will discuss: • Some benefits of using groups • Three ways to create groups in Moodle • Most common examples • Best practices and things to avoid This is an overview workshop. Please refer to the Groups module on the Help for Instructors page on Moodle for step-by-step instructions and set-up guidelines. We highly encourage you to complete the eLearning module before attending the workshop: https://moodle.concordia.ca/moodle/mod/scorm/view.php?id=3689811 This workshop is lead by IITS Training Team |
